Chinese Myth Lessons #7

Fri Jun 26, 2009, 6:51 PM
Chinese Medicine

I think it's fair to say that if you go to a chinese medecine doctor in China, there is a higher chance he's not fake. Also, the real ones can fix you up 90% of the time. Chinese medicine is commonly thought to be all junk. In reality it's just as valid as western medicine, but a lot weaker, as the ingredients are not compressed into a very strong pill.
Anyway, I brought it up for two reasons. One watch out for fakes. Fakes have no certificates, good fakes have certificates that look real, and real ones have certificates that look ok. XD
The really good ones only need to feel your pulse and look at your face to determine what your problem is. Chinese medecine doesn't always cure your disease, in fact, 90% of the time it is to treat the symptom, so that time will get rid of the disease allowing you to act normally during that time.

The other thing is what I can only say in english as:
Heatie, and coolie.
These are two sides of the same coin, and don't refer to your body temperature but the inner balance your bodies need. If you are heattie then you eat/perform coolie things. Balance is healthy non-balance is not healthy.
